The eight 5th-tenure meeting of BR-VT People's Council opened

On the morning of 15 July, at the provincial Conference Center, the eight 5th- tenure meeting of the BR-VT People’s Council opened.

At this meeting, the Provincial People’s Council will discuss and evaluate the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial People’s Council for the socio-economic development in the past 6 months, indicating the causes, particularly the causes leading to the limitations in the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial People’s Council.

Reported on the implementation of the socio-economic development, security and defense plan in the first 6 months of the year, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, stated that the guidelines, policies and solutions of the Government and the provincial People’s Council on the socio-economic development in 2014 have been performed by industries and levels, concretized into specific tasks, identified responsibilities of units, the time of completion, direction and administration that have many attempts, so far the majority of tasks have been performed and ensured that progress according to the schedule set out.

The economic industries and sectors of the province still encountered difficulties, but there have been signs of recovery, as the result many targets have been fulfilled and achieved the high growth, exceeding the provincial People’s Council’s Resolution. The activities of education and training, health, culture and sports have been fully deployed. Social security has been guaranteed. National defense holds security, social order is basically stable. However, besides these achievements, the social-economic situation in the first 6 months remains some limitations that need to be overcome.

In the first 6 days of the meeting, delegates will listen to and consider the report: Results on the revenues and expensive in the first 6 months, and the estimates in 2014; The settlement of complaints and denunciations in the first 6 months; Summarizing the monitoring results of the first 6 months of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council; The announcement of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of BR-VT province participates in the work of administration, establishing power, opinions and recommendations ...

Besides the statements for adjustment, additional estimates of revenues and expenditures in 2014; Additional sources of investment plans for the State budget’s capital construction in 2014, submittal for the conversion of land right transfer and use; Plan for establishment of Phu My town; Plan for reorganization of Ba Ria as the second grade city of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province; Adjustment, supplement of the Resolution No. 12 dated 14-7-2010 of the Provincial People’s Council on support of health insurance for poor households out of poverty from 2 to 5 years; Recommendations for specific spending level for propagandists, public actors of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau; Regulations of exemption, reduction, learning support costs and tuition fees for educational institutions under the national education system from the academic year 2013-2014; Organizion of collection, management and use of road user charges for motor vehicles in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
