On August 18th, at Ba Ria-Vung Tau province’s Cutural Center, the 18th Southeast Region Fine Arts Exhibition opened and.
The exhibition displayed over 210 art paintings of 195 artists who come from 9 provinces: Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong.
Exhibits include paintings, graphic works, sculptures and installations in various materials such as oil paint, lacquer, silk, wood carving, water-colour, stone and bronze. Works feature the image of Vietnam’s landscapes and people in working and their daily lives as well as the country’s seas and islands.
The annual exhibition, which is scheduled through August 20, is held to coincide with the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and Vietnamese National Day (September 2) and celebrate the 56th anniversary of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association (December 10).
The organising board is going to present one A, one B and one C prizes, along with three consolation prizes to outstanding works at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
